Please join us for conversation and cocktails with one of the most globally renowned human and disability rights experts, Professor Gerard Quinn. He will talk about the UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities — focusing on its impact on topics such as global deinstitutional​ization, choice, and legal capacity.

Gerard Quinn is a professor of law at the National University of Ireland (Galway) where he directs the Centre on Disability Law & Policy. He led a delegation during the drafting of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. He sits on several advisory boards such as the OSI Human Rights Initiative, the scientific board of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency, and co-chairs the Human Rights Watch advisory committee on disability & human rights.
