Human Rights Celebration in Oklahoma CityOklahoma City ChapterMonday, December 10, 2012 Human Rights Day will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 in OK House Champer from 11 a.m.-noon, followed by a social event in Rotunda. The venue will be the Oklahoma Capitol Building (23rd & Lincoln), in the chamber of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. This is the location that was used in past years when the old Oklahoma Human Rights Commission organized a similar annual event for the benefit of Oklahoma citizens. As part of the Human Rights Day program, the OK Universal Human Rights Alliance will honor an individual who has contributed to human rights in our state. The 2012 Human Rights Champion hasn't been announced yet. Nominations are still being accepted. The event is open to the public. Please RSVP to both by contacting Wilfredo at wsantosrivera@yahoo.com or call 405-631-2027. |
