SCMUN 2012Saturday, October 6, 2012 Location: Los Angeles, CA, US | High school Hosted by: Model United Nations of Southern California 101-500 Participants Registration Deadline: May 15, 2012 Conference Fees School/Delegation Fee: Early Registration (May 15th): $40, Regular Registration (September 15th): $50 Delegate Fee: $50 About the ConferenceAt SCMUN, students will have the opportunity to engage with the complexities of the modern international system by representing states, non-governmental organizations, and international corporations in several diplomatic simulations. The theme of this year's conference is Uneven Globalization, and the committee topics address the issues and crises that surface due to the disparity between developed and developing nations. Students will analyze and debate these critical international contentions, including Western Petroleum Corporations' Atrocities in Africa, Nuclear Proliferation, International Criminal Prosecution and Extradition, Democratization, and a host of other pressing topics.
