Registration for the Global Classrooms: Washington, D.C. Model UN Conference is open to high school and middle school students. Registration preference is first given to DC Public Schools and DC Public Charter Schools. Registration will open for all other schools at a later date. Country Selection and Country Matrix On your registration form, indicate which countries your school would like to represent at the conference. Conference organizers does its best to assign each school at least one requested country, but we cannot guarantee country or committee assignments. In the event that we are unable to assign you one of your preferred countries, you may also request specific regions your school is interested in representing. Fee Structure All DC Public Schools and DC Public Charter Schools are free to attend. The registration fees below apply only to non-DCPS and non-DCPCS. Education, at jruchala@unanca.org | School Fee | The non-refundable school fee is required to be considered registered for the Global Classrooms: Washington, D.C. Model UN Conference. This fee is due January 30th. School Fee: $50 Late payment will result in an invalid registration form, and your school will not be considered registered to attend the conference or receive country assignments. | | Delegate Fee | $30 per delegate | | Additional Chaperone Fee | $25 per additional chaperone. | | One advisor is admitted for free for every ten delegates. Any additional adults attending beyond the 1:10 ratio (in any capacity) must be included as an additional chaperone on the registration form. (For example, 10 students = 1 chaperone free; 11 students = 2 chaperones for free; 21 students = 3 chaperones for free, etc.) |
Payment MethodsCredit card payments will not be accepted. Checks must be made out to “UNA-NCA” and include the name of the conference in the “memo” section of the check. Checks need to be mailed to the following address:

TransportationDue to security protocol at the State Department, each school will be contacted regarding what time to arrive at the Model UN Conference. Please note that transportation to and from the conference site will be available for D.C. Public Schools. All others must coordinate their own transportation.
Maximum Delegation Size In order to ensure fair participation to as many schools as possible, the delegation-size cap is 40 students per school. Important dates to remember | January 23 | Registration Deadline. Registration will remain open till capacity is reached | | January 30 | School Fee due for non-DCPS and non-DCPCS | | January 30 | Country Assignments Released and Invoices Sent Out | | March 6 | Last day to drop number of delegates without being charged. All schools are financially responsible for all spots they are registered for after this date. | | April 15 | All Delegate and Extra Chaperone Fees Due | April 30
