About the 2012 Miami Model UN Conference The conference is will be held on February 18th, 2012 at Miami Dade College. We are proud to host over 600 delegates in eight diverse committees. Topics discussed will include the situation in North Korea, the rights of indigenous peoples, and migration in Latin American and the Caribbean.
About Global Classrooms: Miami Boasting hundreds of student participants from the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Global Classrooms: Miami has grown rapidly, thanks to support from Miami-Dade Public Schools as well as the local community and educators, Global Classrooms has found a home in Miami.
UNA-USA offers this unique educational program to students throughout the US. Comprised of three major components- curriculum units, a local support staff, and the Model UN conference serving as a culminating event- Global Classrooms is considered an exceptional tool for engaging students in subject areas like history, geography, social studies, international relations, government, and even science. Global Classrooms also teaches vital skills such as debate, research, writing, reading comprehension, public speaking, and negotiation.
