Global Classrooms Standards Alignment

The Global Classrooms curricular units in Peacekeeping, Human Rights and Sustainable Development have been designed to work within an existing course such as American or world history, global studies, participation in government (or civics), law or English language arts. The units can be used as the sole resource for an elective course or as an addition to existing course syllabi.

On the national level, the Global Classrooms curricula are aligned with the National Council for the Social Studies Standards, national geography content standards, and the national standards for civics and government.

In New York, the curricula are aligned with New York State content standards for the social studies as well as New York City performance standards for the English language arts.
