In Review:  GCIMUN -- 2014 & 2013

The 2014 conference, held May 15-17, 2014, brought together students from more than 20 countries to discuss diverse and pressing international issues. Committees and topics included International Narcotics Trafficking, Loan Reform and Forgiveness for Developing Countries, and the Uses of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones). The Summit on Women connected students with the former Surinamese Ambassador to Indonesia and gave students first hand knowledge on the role of women in governance and policy.

The 2013 conference brought together students from around the world to discuss diverse and pressing international issues such as the Emergence of New Synthetic Drugs, The Situation in Iraq, the Rights of LGBT People and International Migration and Development. GCIMUN 2014 and 2013 provided an unparalleled, authentic simulation of the United Nations in a world class setting, and the chance for delegates to work side-by-side with thousands of students from across the country and around the globe.
