About the Conference

Our turning point is the violent environment in which we live towards the different levels within the educational system, which lacks action programmes and "good citizen practices" that are compatible with a pacific atmosphere among citizens that allows an acknowledgement of other citizens as an equal (and a different individual at the same time). Even though there seems to be a trend toward incorporating issues related to human rights and the construction of citizenship, there is a big gap between what is claimed and what actually happens or is experienced. Admittedly, the experience that is gained through simulation games –we acknowledge those known as United Nations Models– is vital in providing a pedagogic mediation by leading to the need to register the habit of exercising, putting into practice data and skills which makes an adolescent feel he is an individual full of rights. we received international delegations with great pleasure in past editions: Brasil Chile Venezuela Colom
