About the Conference

Entering its 5th session, Sri Lanka Model United Nations (SLMUN) is South Asia's largest student-run MUN conference, and among one of the world's largest. The conference is registered under the UN Outreach programme, endorsed by UNESCO, and backed by the country's Ministry of Education. While offering a platform for youth from across the world to voice their opinion on current issues, SLMUN also runs the One World Volunteers, currently one of the island's largest young community initiatives.

This year's SLMUN conference promises a taste of the unusual. In addition to facilitating 3 days of intense debate and conflict resolution, the event will involve significant appearances by some of the greatest leaders and change-agents the world has been privy to.
