Strive to Make a Difference: Together we can build a better tomorrow Symposium was created by Len Baldwin, UNA-USA Columbus Chapter President, in order to give students the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of the United Nations while striving to help complete the Millennium Development Goals. STMAD is an exception opportunity for students of all backgrounds to set their sights on lofty goals of global leadership. The symposium has been developed to mock three to four specific different discussion based committees within the United Nations. Furthermore, students will be using parliamentary procedure to carry out these discussions. Students will have the opportunity to work side by side with college students from across the state, governmental officials, celebrity advocates, and university presidents to reach a resolution for specific topics being currently discussed within the United Nations. |
