As active members of UNA-USA, UNA Young Professionals are committed to fostering international cooperation and community education on international affairs. Young Professional groups work locally throughout the United States to promote and implement education projects, advocate for a strong US-UN relationship, and participate in professional development opportunities. UNA Young Professionals provides opportunities to:
- Learn from the best on how to effectively advocate to Members of Congress in support of UN funding and other UN related issues.

Volunteering
With more than 120 UNA-USA grassroots Chapters across the country, UNA-USA offers young professionals an opportunity to do hands on work with likeminded individuals in support of the UN. For example, UNA Young professionals may engage in the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets Campaign to raise funds and awareness for people suffering with malaria in Africa.
Professional Development
UNA-USA offers young professionals the opportunity to acquire and develop tangible skills, knowledge and experience, by taking on a leadership role in any of our 120 Chapters.
Mentoring
Many Chapter leaders and members of UNA-USA currently hold or have held careers at the UN, UN agencies, the State Department, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations. UNA Young Professionals have readily available access to those individuals through the UNA-USA network.
Networking
With UNA-USA Chapters in cities across the U.S. UNA Young Professionals have the opportunity to meet likeminded individuals at UNA-USA national and local events such as Members' Day at the UN or the UNA-USA Annual Meeting.
