Celebrate Human Rights
Sixty-four years ago on Dec. 10, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the first global expression to protect the rights of everyone worldwide. UNA-USA members nationwide and others across the world celebrate this moment with Human Rights Day. UNA-USA Chapters hosted more than 45 Human Rights Day celebrations featuring speakers, luncheons, film screenings, and other presentations conveying how the UN helps advance and uphold human rights around the world, and engaging participants in supporting the advancement of human rights.
