About the event:

During the last four months of 2013, the UNA-USA convened community consultations across the U.S. to discuss and assess the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Results from the MY World Global Survey revealed that participants at these events ranked equality among men and women as their third priority, as compared with the global ranking of ninth. As UNA-USA prepares to release its formal report on these consultations’ findings, panelists will reflect on the challenges and achievements of the MDGs for girls and women, discuss why gender equality is central to all aspects of the next development framework, and explain how advancing and empowering girls and women will positively impact other global priority issues.
