Annual Gala to Be Held Nov. 18
The proposed alliance of the United Nations Foundation and the United Nations Association of the USA, which will enhance the organizations’ efforts to promote a strong American relationship with the United Nations, will be the focus at our inaugural annual dinner on Nov. 18 at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York. At the dinner, we will celebrate the critically important role the UN plays in securing global peace, prosperity and security and America’s new willingness to engage with the UN.
On Nov. 18, we will honor several innovative leaders who have creatively mobilized Americans in support of the UN and its important global missions: the Honorable John F. Kerry, United States Senator; Simon Fuller, American Idol, creator and producer; and Michel Sidibé, executive director, UNAIDS. Rick Reilly, the ESPN personality, will be the host.
