Celebrate UNA-Westchester’s International Women’s Day 2020 with prominent women’s rights advocates from Westchester County.

International Women’s Day 2020: “Women’s Voices Champion Human Rights” will mark 25 years since the Beijing Fourth World Conference on Women. The program will feature

Keynote speakers: Gülden Türköz-Cosslett, Deputy Assistant Administrator, United Nations Development Program and Shawyn Patterson Howard, Mayor of the City of Mount Vernon.

HonoreesShirley Vaughn Jackson, Educator and author and friend of Eleanor Roosevelt; Mary Calvi, CBS News anchor, journalist and author; and Danielle Kohn, recently-named Youth Poet Laureate of Westchester County and a Scarsdale High School student.

A panel will focus on what prominent women in Westchester are doing to promote and implement women’s equal rights . This will be followed by a Q and A discussion.

A Zero-Waste networking reception will follow the program. All members of the Westchester community are invited. Don’t miss this excellent program!
