Engaging American youth in grassroots advocacy is a personal passion for Marco Fabian Sanchez, Youth Engagement Coordinator for the United Nations Association (UNA-USA). In his current role, Marco Sanchez facilitates the campus chapter expansion strategy for UNA-USA by motivating the next generation of global leaders to take action for the United Nations in their own communities. Throughout his academic career at California State University, Fullerton, Marco was a former UNA-USA campus chapter leader, where he helped to lead grassroots campaigning in the Southern California community. In addition to advocacy, Marco is also personally interested in public policy and research given his previous role as a policy consultant for the World Bank Group. Through his experiences in advocacy, organizational development and public policy, Marco has been able to successfully engage everyday Americans and lawmakers by educating communities about the progress of the United Nations, and promoting a strong U.S.-UN partnership.
