Relive the 2021 virtual Global Engagement Summit and watch sessions on-demand

The world needs the UN. The UN needs YOU.

The United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) is a movement of Americans who believe that our interests and values can best be advanced by standing with the planet’s only truly universal institution: The United Nations. We stand up for the UN so the UN can keep standing up for the world. Will you join us?

2021 Global Engagement Summit

UNA-USA’s Global Engagement Summit, typically held at UN Headquarters in New York City, is the largest annual gathering of UN supporters in the country, bringing together community leaders, college students, young professionals, and subject matter experts from across the country to delve into the mission and lifesaving work of the United Nations.

Our 2021 theme—From Moments to Movements: Solidarity for Sustainability—highlighted the importance of global cooperation to achieve a better world for everyone, everywhere. Our live programming took place February 19-20, but you can still catch all the sessions on demand. Register now to watch or login to the platform.

Participate in #MySDGDream

We’ve launched a new initiative called #MySDGDream, a year-long project that invites everyone, everywhere, to share their dreams and ideas for achieving the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals in their lives and communities.

Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech, the initiative encourages global citizens to envision a more peaceful, harmonious world that works for everyone, while remembering the power of a dream. We hope you will help UNA-USA advance this conversation and spread awareness about the urgent need for bold actions on the SDGs as we near their 2030 deadline.

Findings From Our UN75 Consultations

To mark its 75th anniversary in 2020, UN Secretary-General António Guterres announced that the UN would host the biggest-ever global conversation on the role of global cooperation in building the future we want.

UNA-USA engaged nearly 2,000 Americans from 50+ U.S. states in territories in more than 80 consultations, capturing insights and policy recommendations on how to achieve a brighter future. Notes and recommendations from the consultations were provided to the United Nations, and now, we are excited to share our full report of key findings and insights with the public.
