2025 UNA-USA Leadership Summit in St. Louis, Missouri
Our community recently gathered in St. Louis, Missouri, for the 2025 UNA-USA Leadership Summit, centered on the timely theme: “Meet the Moment – Our Moment.” We are filled with gratitude for the energy, insight, and unwavering commitment our members brought to this vital convening. The Summit served as a powerful reminder of the essential link between local advocacy and global impact, featuring distinguished speakers—including UN Information Center – Washington Office Director, Will Davis, a virtual visit by UN Secretary General Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric to AY Young, and climate activist-turned-entrepreneur Sophia Kianni—who shared their expertise on the future of international cooperation and US-UN relations.

The success of this year’s Summit is in large part due to the incredible efforts of the UNA-St. Louis chapter, which served as the inaugural host for our new roving Summit format. From organizing a prestigious Diplomatic Reception and securing vital sponsorships to coordinating a hands-on service activity, their leadership was instrumental in bringing our mission to life. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the UNA-USA National Council committees for their tireless work in planning sessions, managing speaker relations, and supporting the logistical intricacies that made this event a landmark success.
The Summit was made possible by Summit Sponsors, including: Education First (Signature Sponsor), Soon Young-Yoon and Cities for CEDAW History and Futures Project (UNA-USA Awards Ceremony Sponsor), Megan Nakra (Session Sponsor), Little Angels Foundation (Service Project Sponsor), Missouri Historical Society (Engagement & Exhibition Sponsor), Spencer Fane (Engagement & Exhibition Sponsor), and Affinia Healthcare (Engagement & Exhibition Sponsor).
To every participant who joined us: your presence helped strengthen our movement and reinforce the American public’s support for the United Nations. We hope your time in St. Louis was both productive and memorable, and we look forward to carrying this momentum forward as we continue to champion the UN’s mission across the country.
