Dave Rice
Currently, Dave serves as the President of the United Nations Association – Orange County Chapter, where he focuses on the ‘Local 2030’ program to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in local communities and beyond. He also leads the Climate Team, dedicated to fostering effective awareness, activism, and advocacy to address the climate crisis. Additionally, Dave is a member of Congressman Mike Levin’s Task Force on Nuclear Waste at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, working on plans to replace unsafe canisters with top-of-the-line alternatives. His involvement extends to being a member of the Rotary Club Newport Beach and the Rotary Climate Action Team, as well as leading the So Cal Secular Coalition, which unites humanist and secular group leaders across Southern California for advocacy, social causes, and community building. Furthermore, he is the Commissioner of the West Coast Adult Soccer League, which includes 1,000 adult players in South Orange County.
Previously, Dave had a 25-year career in the corporate technology industry, specializing in strategy, marketing, and sales for companies such as IBM and Comdisco. He also ran his own consulting business, GOALS Unlimited, for 10 years, assisting small technology companies with business, marketing, sales, and growth strategies. Throughout his career, Dave has been a continuous volunteer in various community organizations, including youth sports, the Kiwanis Club, and other social causes.
