Alejandro Garcia
Alejandro Garcia shapes U.S. policy and engagement in a number of international and regional anti-corruption bodies, including the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), and represents the United States in negotiations of international anti-corruption standards. He served as the lead U.S. planner for the UNCAC Conference of the States Parties in Atlanta in 2023, where the United States organized the first ever UNCAC Young Changemakers Event to elevate and celebrate the voices of students and young activists in the fight against corruption. Alejandro joined the State Department in 2014 as a Pathways Intern. He holds a B.A. in Geography and Latin American Studies from the University of California, Los Angles and an M.A. in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University.
