Amy Bryant
Amy Bryant holds a Master of Social Work and is the United Nations Association (UNA-USA) National Council Representative for the Rocky Mountain Region, member of the UNA-USA DEAI National Committee, the UNA-USA Pride Affinity Group advisor, board member with UNA’s Boulder Chapter, and member of UNA Boulder’s IDEA Committee.
Their submission to the United Nations call for input on colonialism and its effects on the LGBTQIA+ community was included in the final report and presented at the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly. They have done extensive research on refugees and the LGBTQIA+ community and have written several academic pieces on the challenges they face.
They experienced homelessness as a child and as a result are passionate about human rights, advocacy, and collaborating with marginalized groups to build equity through coalition building, resource allocation and expanding opportunities.
Amy is a proven leader with a versatile skill set. They are adept with research, policy work, advocacy, program development, DEAI work, and equity advancement. In addition, Amy is proficient with facilitating partnerships, resource coordination and allocation, and strategic planning.
They currently spearhead projects to support refugee and LGBTQI+ community to create greater equity. They are a SOGIESC expert seeking a career working on LGBTQIA+ issues, advocacy, human rights, policy practice, and international service.
