Erin Tyler
Erin Tyler is currently a Public Diplomacy Officer for the Bureau of International Organization Affairs (IO) where she leads the bureau’s domestic outreach efforts. She supports public diplomacy initiatives at the United States Mission to UNESCO, including connecting UNESCO Creative Cities.
She joined the State Department as a Foreign Service Officer in 2014. She served as an International Relations Officer for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (2020-2022), the Vice Consul in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (2018-2020), and the Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer in Algiers, Algeria (2015-2017).
Prior to joining the State Department, she worked as a Program Officer with the Fulbright Foreign Student Program at AMIDEAST and at First Book, an international literacy nonprofit. Erin was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia from 2003-2005.
Erin holds a B.A. from Miami University and a M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University.
