Laura Brazee
Laura Brazee is the Senior Director of Youth & Volunteer Engagement at UNICEF USA where she is responsible for mobilizing a network of youth and adult allies to advance child rights and center youth voices in decision making.
Laura has more than 15 years of experience leading programs and partnering with young people to address social justice issues impacting their lives. Laura has expertise in building the capacity, systems and structures of organizations and institutions to create space for young people to engage in meaningful ways and take on greater leadership in decision making.
In her previous role, Laura led Plan International USA’s domestic youth program and strategy to engage young people in organizational governance, leadership, programming and advocacy.
Laura holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island and a M.A. in Sustainable International Development from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. She is the mom of two young children and is based in Washington, D.C.
