Michelle DaPra
Michelle DaPra leads the emergency response efforts for USAID’s Response Management Team for Sudan. When not on the emergency response, Michelle is the Division Chief for the Sudans Division in the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance Office of Africa (OA), USAID, and is responsible for coordinating and implementing a wide range of humanitarian assistance activities and programs for Sudan and South Sudan. This includes advocating for the delivery of neutral and impartial humanitarian assistance and participating in the development of long- and short-term planning efforts in connection with disaster response, humanitarian assistance, development, or disaster risk reduction activities for the region. Previously Michelle served as a USAID Foreign Service Officer in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Honduras, and in DC.
In Sudan and South Sudan, USAID/BHA provides support for life-saving assistance responding to acute food, health, nutrition, protection, shelter, and WASH needs for vulnerable populations.
