Carlos Suarez
Carlos Suarez serves as the Director of Economic Development at the International Institute of St. Louis, where he leads a team dedicated to expanding access to capital for immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs through microloans. In addition to facilitating financial growth, he champions language access initiatives, ensuring that organizations, government agencies, and businesses are inclusive and accessible to all. Throughout the year, Carlos oversees a range of programs designed to foster regional prosperity and inclusivity.
Beyond his role at the Institute, Carlos is also the President of the United Nations Association of Saint Louis, a position he has held after being actively involved since 2010. In this capacity, he has spearheaded advocacy efforts to support the U.N. Charter and raise awareness of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), working to inspire local and global action.
