UN76 Event Featuring Speaker: U.S. Mid-Atlantic Diplomat In Residence George Sibley

There is no cost to attend but registration is required.

George Sibley assumed the role of Diplomat in Residence for the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., including North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, in early 2021. A Senior Foreign Service officer, Sibley’s previous posting was as chargé d’affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, Myanmar. Throughout 32 years of a distinguished career in the U.S. State Department, he has also served in India, Iraq, Jordan, Indonesia, and Nepal, and in Washington, D.C. as director of the Office of Environmental Quality and Transboundary Issues at the U.S. Department of State.
