UNA-Houston Program (5—7 PM): Proclamation Ceremony; Presentations will be made by members of the City of Houston Mayor’s Office, City Council and Texas State Legislature; organization leaders and other women leaders; Reception; and City Hall will be lit purple. Wear purple!

Theme: “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights,” International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity with the year 2020 being pivotal as it marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. #EachforEqual #IWD2020 #GENDEREQUALITY
