InterGenerational Model UN (InterGenMUN) is UNA-Chicago’s annual interactive community event that gives YOU a chance to see how the UN works by serving as a delegate for the day.

This unique experience offers people of ALL ages and ALL experience levels (i.e. no Model UN experience necessary!) an opportunity to participate in a simulation that promotes understanding and appreciation of the world of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision-making in a global context.

2020 COMMITTEES and TOPICS:

UN Security Council (UNSC) – Myanmar and Rohingya Crisis

UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) – Rights of indigenous peoples and land in South America

Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) – The profits and price of genetically modified organisms (GMO)

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) – Curbing Plastic for Climate Change

Participants age 18 and under will require a parental consent form that can be obtained from mburns@unachicago.org
