Where will YOU be on International Women’s Day 2019? Hopefully, you will be with other UNA members, local leaders, and individuals in your community committed to advancing gender equity at home and abroad.
The UN Women theme for International Women’s Day 2019, which will take place on March 8th, is “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”. The theme will focus on innovative ways in which we can advance gender equality and the empowerment of women, particularly in the areas of social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure.
UNA members are encouraged to celebrate by hosting events, volunteering, and honoring local champions. UNA Women will host a webinar on January 30th to discuss ideas to celebrate this day.
