The UNA-USA Youth Observer and a representative from the US Mission to the UN will share how youth can prioritize human rights in the implementation of the SDGs, specifically through the Declaration of Human Rights by American Youth project. During this event, youth from any nationality present at the ECOSOC Youth Forum in person will have the opportunity to unpack the articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, discuss what issues are most important in their local contexts, brainstorm how the UDHR can be revised to reflect youth voices and modern issues, and contribute meaningfully to a new Youth Declaration.
