DESCRIPTION

The Worldview Institute provides a forum in which New York professionals in different fields can engage and discuss global issues with experts in foreign policy and international affairs. The program consists of ten seminar modules geared to develop and enhance the scope of the work and activities of young business executives at U.S. based multi-national corporations, as well as professionals of all ages within the NGO, UN, media, law, government, diplomatic and academic communities.

The Worldview seminars are corporate executive training programs of the United Nations Association of New York. Ideally, we are seeking the best and the brightest young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40, although older and more seasoned professionals are certainly more than welcome. Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum three years professional experience or relevant graduate work.

Seminar topics are designed to stimulate informal but academic discussions with presenters from the international arena, and to illuminate and explore business, political, economic and social trends in different regions of the world. Where appropriate, they also address the role of the UN within these contexts.

Our Worldview discussions are led by distinguished lecturers, including UN ambassadors, noted academics and leaders in global business. We are pleased to have Stéphane Dujarric, the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General, opening this season’s semester with an examination of the UN system, its structure, operation and history.
