UNA-Greater Lansing UN Day Celebration – Dignity, Freedom & Justice for All

DESCRIPTION

The UNA – Greater Lansing Chapter UN Day Celebration will include a banquet style dinner and musical entertainment. The Arthur H Vandenberg Award, named after a Michigan Senator who was instrumental in the US joining the UN, will be awarded to Dr. Jeffrey Sachs. Recognition awards will be given to an outstanding educator and student for their involvement and leadership in international activities promoting global education and international understanding. Awards recognizing local individuals whose work and avocations contribute to the achievement of the SDGs will be presented, as well.
