A powerful evening with renowned art historian Dr. Lynn F. Orr, who will lead a Curator Talk centered on a moving collection of drawings and paintings created by children in Ukraine. We invite you to lean in with Lynn and discover how “even rapid scribbles tell a story”. These young artists have used their creativity to express their personal journeys through conflict, offering us a rare and raw perspective on the necessity of our mission at the United Nations Association to educate, mobilize, and inspire—advocating for the fundamental Human Rights and the Peace that every child deserves.
This is more than an art talk; it is a testament to the themes of peace and the universal rights of the child that remain central to the work of the United Nations.
This exhibition provides a profound look at the impact of war through a lens we rarely see. By attending, you support UNA Marin’s commitment to raising awareness of global human rights issues right here in our local community.
We hope to see you there, and please share this important conversation. Our mission grows through community, so please feel free to bring along friends or colleagues who share an interest in human rights and the power of art to inspire change. These stories are often most powerful when experienced together.
