Join a gathering of women celebrating how empowering women entrepreneurs creates a ripple effect that extends beyond individual households to build better communities. We invite you to our soulful celebration honoring mothers and women, the quiet architects of community, the keepers of tradition, and the creators of change.
This celebration is brought to you by ActLocal, Opalus and the United Nations Association of Pasadena and will be held at Look Cinemas in Glendale on May 26, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM. The event will allow attendees to shop and connect with local artisans who use their work to create change, enjoy networking and snacks, and watch a carefully curated group of powerful short films that tell the story of women entrepreneurs followed by a live Q&A with the filmmakers. Among these stories is ‘Empower’, a breathtaking film that reveals the enduring resilience and sustainable wisdom of Indigenous women in India. Attendees are encouraged to make a minimum $5 donation to support the organizations creating this unique experience. Don’t wait. Tickets for this event are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
