Global Connections Television Program for UNA-USA Chapters

Each UNA-USA chapter has a unique opportunity to raise its visibility, recruit new members, enhance its credibility and inform people in their communities about the United Nations – through television.

Just contact your local TV outlet(s) about airing Global Connections Television (GCTV). GCTV explores and covers diverse world issues such as hunger, poverty, security, economic development, energy, world health, migration, war, human rights, tolerance and international trade. Check out the video selection at www.globalconnectionstelevision.com/video-gallery.

UNA-USA chapters can get this free program on television stations in their communities and have their chapter recognized as the sponsor. You may even consider filming a short UNA-USA “commercial” to air before each GCTV episode. Chapters can also use audio of the video clips to play on their local public radio programs. GCTV Programs are provided at no charge and are available for broadcast on your media system, under the terms and conditions outlined here.

Consider running a program recognizing the start of the UN General Assembly, celebrating UN Day, or all year long!

To note, this is not a UNA-USA program.

Here is a sample message you can send to your local station:

Hello (name),

My name is (name) and I am reaching out on behalf of (chapter name), we are a part of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA). We are wondering about the opportunity of airing a Global Connections Television (GCTV) episode on your station.

Briefly about UNA-USA: we are a movement of Americans who believe that our interests and values can best be advanced by standing with the planet’s only truly universal institution: The United Nations. We advocate on behalf of the UN, working to engage our members to take action on issues that are important to them and the UN.

We would love the opportunity to air an episode of Global Connections Television (GCTV). The program is free to air, and each episode explores and covers diverse world issues such as hunger, poverty, security, economic development, energy, world health, migration, war, human rights, tolerance and international trade.

For more information about GCTV please see: www.globalconnectionstelevision.com/video-gallery. We can also work with you to identify a relevant episode for your network. Additionally, please feel free to contact Bill Miller, CEO of Global Connections TV. May be reached at 646-926-3532 or at info@globalconnectionstelevision.com

If this would be a possibility, please let me know and I look forward to continuing this conversation.
