Ilinca Drondoe

Ilinca Drondoe is a gender equality advocate from New Hampshire. She is thrilled to be serving as a Global Goals Ambassador for SDG 5. For the past five years, Ilinca has served as the New England Coalition Leader for Girl Up, a UN Foundation organization focused on girls’ empowerment worldwide. She was an honoree at the UN Foundation’s 5th annual awards for International Day of the Girl, alongside Meena Harris. Ilinca is especially passionate about the connections between environmental and gender justice, and she believes young women are the most powerful force for climate action. As a researcher for the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network International, she is expanding the first global database on women’s contributions to protecting the planet. Ilinca is in her second year at Wellesley College, majoring in Political Science and Peace & Justice Studies. She is excited to drive intersectional action for gender equality and sustainable development as a Global Goals Ambassador!
