Judith was invited to join the Board of UNA-USA Pasadena Chapter in 2001 and since then has served as President twice and in all other offices, chairing and co-chairing multiple events and participating in all Pasadena UNA activities. She has served on the Board for UNA-USA Southern California Division for the past 15 years, serving as a Vice President for many years. She has just completed two terms (4 years) as President of the UNA-USA Southern California Division and is currently serving her third term on the UNA-USA National Council. Judith was recently re-elected to a second term as Secretary of the National Council. She has served on the National Council Nominations Committee, Policies and Procedures Committee and Chapter Development Committee, among others. She guest lectures on the topics of UNA-USA and the UN to students of all ages in Southern California, most recently at Pasadena City College, Occidental College and California State University Los Angeles as well to numerous community organizations. She has attended numerous Leadership Summits and over the years been a panelist and participated in advocacy on Capitol Hill and locally, attending in-district visits. She is actively involved in her community and is in frequent contact with elected officials, who often attend local UNA events. Judith holds a B.S. degree in Child Development and a Child Life Certificate from the University of LaVerne, in California. She recently retired from a 29 year career in the field of blindness and deaf-blindness, working with children, most with multiple challenges, birth to eighteen years of age and their families. She sits on several other Boards related to blindness and social justice. She is the proud mother of two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and three granddaughters, ages 8, 12 and 19. She is very happy to be a lifetime member of UNA-USA.
