National Philanthropy Day

Each year, people around the country celebrate National Philanthropy Day on November 15th! It’s a chance to show appreciation for the people and organizations that have a significant philanthropic impact on our country.

The United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) is celebrating National Philanthropy Day by highlighting the impact of philanthropy on certain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SDGs were adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 to help create peace and prosperity for our planet and its people. This year, UNA-USA is acknowledging how philanthropy can help America achieve SDG #1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education and #SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals!

Philanthropy can be used as a collaborative tool in every aspect of the government, nonprofit and private sectors.

Special thank you to the following national leaders who helped to bring this project to life.

And, thank you to Global Goals Ambassadors Rachel Svetanoff and Virgil Parker for leading this initiative!
