Rachel Moynihan
Rachel Moynihan serves as UNFPA’s liaison to the U.S. House and Senate, the State Department, the U.S. Mission to the UN, and the White House. Rachel manages UNFPA’s relationship with the Washington-based advocacy community, key foundations/donors and civil society groups and UN counterparts in the Secretary-General’s Washington office, UNOCHA, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNHCR, UN Women, WHO and WFP. Rachel holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from George Mason’s Schar School (USA), a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Affairs from The University of Virginia (USA), and studied at Vesalius College at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium).
Rachel is married with three young children. She is a founding member of a long-running book club and
was admitted as a Truman National Security Fellow for the Class of 2025.
