Statement on Earthquake in Haiti from UNA-USA’s National Council Chair Paula Boland
UNA-USA National Council Chair Paula Boland issued the following statement today on Saturday’s devastating earthquake in Haiti:
On behalf of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), I am sending my sincerest thoughts and condolences to the people of Haiti following Saturday’s devastating earthquake.
The global community must come together to ensure Haiti urgently receives the proper resources and support to recover and rebuild, especially as the country continues to navigate a delicate political situation just one month after the assassination of Haiti’s President, Jovenel Moïse.
We are grateful for the UN’s swift response on the ground to provide essential aid to communities impacted by this tragedy.
We will share additional resources and information in the coming days to let you know how you can support relief efforts in Haiti.
