Task Force to Senate: Confirm Key Human Rights Posts

In a bipartisan letter addressed to Senator Harry Reid and shared with other senators, the Task Force called for the Senate to move expeditiously to fill four key human rights posts, including the U.S. Ambassador to the Human Rights Council. The Task Force asserted that it was essential for the U.S. to have a leadership team in place both in Geneva — where the Human Rights Council is based—and Washington DC to advance universal human rights, a critical U.S. foreign policy goal.
