Happy 60th Anniversary: Equal Pay Act of 1963!

The Equal Pay Act of 1963 is arguably one of the most significant laws in our nation’s history. It aimed to eliminate gender-based pay discrimination in our country. 60 years later, we must celebrate how far we’ve come and acknowledge how far we still must go!

The United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) was happy to work with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (USCC), the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and several leaders to help honor this meaningful anniversary.

Special thank you to those who helped to uplift this work including:

Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard,

SHRM President and CEO, Johnny C. Taylor Jr., SHRM-SCP,

Benedict College President and CEO, Roslyn Clark Artis, JD, EdD

USCC Senior Vice President, Rick Wade

UNA-USA Global Goals Ambassador and U.S. Fulbright Alum, Virgil Parker

and our UNA-USA Executive Director, Rachel Bowen Pittman
