2019 Global Leadership Summit

DESCRIPTION

Held in Washington, D.C. from June 9-11, the Global Leadership Summit is a chance to meet with high-ranking U.S. Government and UN officials, learn from global experts, gain invaluable advocacy skills, and urge Congress to fully fund the United Nations and its agencies. Over three days, the UNA-USA community comes together to support the UN’s vital work, such as combating climate change, helping refugees, eradicating extreme poverty, pushing for women’s rights, ensuring peace and security, and much more.

What to Expect

This Summit will prepare passionate advocates like you to make the case for strong U.S. Leadership at the UN. For two days, you’ll have access to advocacy trainings and experts from the U.S. government, United Nations and NGOs who will provide insights on the latest global issues. On the third day, we will take our voices to Capitol Hill where we will personally ask our elected officials to provide funding for the UN.
