Innerview Technologies and UNA-USA Launch Partnership to Promote Service-Learning for the Global Goals

UNA-USA and InnerView Technologies, the leading youth social responsibility platform, have embarked on a new partnership with the aim to help students ages 14 to 24 explore the UN Global Goals, engage in volunteer efforts in their community and develop a personal social impact credential: a Service Resume.

The UN Global Goals bring awareness, action, and measurement to the toughest challenges the world faces and each objective requires engaged individuals to collaborate and invest both minds and hearts to solve these critical issues.  Each initiative and solution has people at the epicenter of the change necessary to create the world we all desire.  Service to others is an actionable path to transform our communities and our world providing needed services today and a better position for tomorrow.

Volunteer experiences drive impact to critical community needs, but also demonstrate character traits, develop skills in human agility, and deliver local progress to global challenges. Only 21.8% of 16 to 24 year olds currently volunteer, according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistic 2016.  Through positive experiences, peer leadership, community engagement and access to ways to get involved, we can help more individuals get introduced to service opportunities aligned with their passions and experience a personal connection with the UN Global Goals.

As such, UNA-USA and InnerView Technologies, the leading youth social responsibility platform, have embarked on a new partnership with the aim to help students ages 14 to 24 explore the UN Global Goals, engage in volunteer efforts in their community and develop a personal social impact credential: a Service Resume.   We believe this program uniquely connects an entire ecosystem of change makers including volunteers, service leaders, development programs, nonprofits, schools and committed businesses to elevate and expand the social impact of volunteer efforts and connection to the UN Global Goals.

UNA-USA is encouraging students to work toward a National Community Service Award for commitment and activity in support of the UN Global Goals this school year.  As a student volunteer shares service activity on the InnerView mobile module, award progress is updated and the InnerView platform auto-generates a Service Resume for a student to share their legacy commitment to others, skill development and effort toward causes when applying to jobs, scholarships and more.   Resources and toolkits are available to empower groups and schools to engage with the Global Goals and helps students connect personal passion with purpose. Please contact Anna Mahalak, UNA-USA Youth Engagement Manager, for more information on how to connect your chapter members and students to the Innerview platform.
