The United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) is a membership organization of Americans dedicated supporting the ideals and vital work of the United Nations. For over seven decades, UNA-USA has educated, inspired, and mobilized thousands of Americans through its national network of chapters, youth engagement, advocacy efforts, education programs, and public events.

Membership Types

There are different membership categories to best suit your current situation:

Standard: $50
The standard membership makes up the backbone of our movement. Gain access to all of our events, opportunities, and networking.

Bronze: $100
Go above and beyond in supporting the UN. Your donation allows us to host more events and build more connections that help you and other members stand up for the UN.

Silver: $250
Take your membership to the next level with an additional $200 donation. You’ll be listed in the Annual Report and get reserved seating at marquee events.

Gold: $500
Go for gold in supporting the UN! As thanks for your generous contribution, you can gain access to exclusive programs, priority seating at UNA-USA signature events, and more!

Lifetime: $1000
For your immense support for UNA-USA in advocating for the UN, you’ll never have to renew and will always have the perks of being a UNA-USA member and more.

GenUN: FREE
is our national network of changemakers ages 14–17 who care about global issues, diplomacy, and the future of the planet. As a GenUN member, you’ll gain access to incredible benefits that help you grow as a leader, connect with others, and take action for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Young Professional: $25
Members ages 18 to 30 may choose this membership to unlock benefits related to advancing their career and professional portfolio. Learn more.

Fixed Income: $25
If you would like consideration for a reduced annual membership fee due to fixed or limited income, please email membership@unausa.org.

Partner Affiliate

Multiple Membership Form

Quick Membership FAQs

🔹 What’s the difference between a Member and a Supporter?
Members pay annual dues and receive full benefits, including voting rights, leadership eligibility, and access to exclusive programming. Supporters do not pay dues and have limited access to UNA-USA activities and communications.

🔹 Is free membership for people under 26 still available?
No. As of May 1, 2025, all adult members (ages 18+) are required to pay annual dues. Younger individuals (ages 14–17) are eligible to join through our GenUN program instead.

🔹 I was a member before May 1, 2025 — what happens to my status?
Members who were active and registered before May 1, 2025 have until September 1, 2025 to renew. After that, they will be designated as Supporters unless dues are paid.
