Mr. Ralph “RJ” Johnson is the National Vice Chair of United Nations Association of the United States of America and is serving his third term on the National Council. In 2015, Johnson was elected by the youth delegates at the 2nd WFUNA Global Youth Forum and 41st WFUNA Plenary Assembly in Vancouver, Canada to serve on WFUNA’s Youth Advisory Council which is comprised of 9 youth leaders from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America. Nominated by UNA-USA, he is the first American in WFUNA History to be elected to this post. In this role, RJ advises the WFUNA Secretary-General on youth issues initiatives, foster youth involvement among United Nations Associations and United Nations Youth Associations, work with WFUNA’s mission of developing youth programs that build the capacity of its global membership and work to strengthen and improve the work of the United Nations by brainstorming pragmatic, innovative, and cost-effective programs for WFUNA’s local, regional, and global networks. He currently serves on the UNA-USA Executive Committee, Chair of the WFUNA Committee, Co-Chair of Policies and Procedures Committee, and has previously served as Co-Chair of the Youth Engagement Committee and Member of the Nominations and Education Committee. Mr. Johnson is an alumnus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and Southern New Hampshire University. He is a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity (Alpha Epsilon) and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Shreveport Alumni).
