UNA-USA Climate Activist Training
The UNA-USA Climate Activist Training will take place Friday, September 20 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm in New York City, New York.
We’re fighting for our future… and we can’t turn our backs on the facts: The earth is getting warmer… fast. Learn how to be an effective advocate for the UN’s climate action priorities and join the global fight against climate change. UNA-USA will host a climate activist training in New York City on Friday, September 20, preceding the Youth Climate Action Summit and UN General Assembly Week.
The training agenda will be led by UNA-USA Youth Engagement Manager Anna Mahalak and will include:
- An Introduction to the Climate Crisis
- Guest Speaker from Climate Reality
- Discussion on SDG 13 and the 2030 Agenda
- Advocacy 101
- Communicating about Climate Change
The training will be held 10am-1pm in Midtown (New York City) on Friday, September 20. All expenses are the responsibility of the participant. Space is limited, so be sure to apply here by Sunday, September 8.
