Emerging Leaders Fellowship

Twice each year, UNA-USA Emerging Leaders participate in virtual trainings and work within their chapters and with local organizations to implement community projects.

About the Fellowship

The UNA-USA Emerging Leaders Fellowship provides professional development to UNA-USA students and young professionals under 40 who commit to participating in monthly virtual discussions and leading a local initiative, project, or event. Over the course of the fellowship, Emerging Leaders will design an action plan and work with their local UNA-USA chapter and other community organizations to implement their idea.

The theme for each cohort changes every fall and spring, and applications typically open in July and December. An announcement will be made in UNA-USA’s monthly newsletters once we’re accepting applications for a new cohort.

Refine your Skills

By completing the program, members will be equipped with the skills to successfully lead within the UNA-USA network, with sharpened skills in event-planning, leadership, and communications.

All program participants will create a local initiative over the course of their fellowship and present their action plan to the National Office, cohort participants, and their local UNA-USA chapters. There is no cost to participate, but participants must be paid UNA-USA members or registered youth members.
